🔻Snorkelling at Ras Mohammed National Park (optional)

Founded in 1983, Ras Mohammed is Egypt’s first national park, where the Gulf of Suez meets the Gulf of Aqaba. It’s home to coral walls, sea turtles, and huge shoals of fish.

💡Did you know? At Yolanda Reef, a cargo ship that sank in 1980 left its load of bathroom fittings scattered across the seabed, so you may snorkel past toilets among the coral!

🔻Diving the SS Thistlegorm (optional)

Experienced divers can explore the SS Thistlegorm, a British supply ship sunk in 1941 during the Second World War. It’s one of the most famous wreck dives in the world, still loaded with motorbikes and trucks.

For a spiritual Christmas, climb Mount Sinai overnight for sunrise, then visit St Catherine’s Monastery at its foot, about three hours from Sharm.

🔻The Old Market & Al Sahaba Mosque

In the evening, wander through Sharm’s Old Market, filled with spices, lanterns, and souvenirs, and admire the illuminated Al Sahaba Mosque, built in Fatimid and Ottoman style.

On Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve, celebrate at your resort’s gala dinner. Tomorrow, you fly back to Cairo to meet the Pyramids.

📍The Great Sphinx

Stop for lunch at a local restaurant and savor the authentic flavors of Egyptian cuisine.

The Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) overlooks the ancient monuments of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure.
