Grand Tour of Egypt and Morocco

After breakfast, be prepared for a guided tour of Rabat, it will revolve around uncovering the history of Rabat.

• Rabat: The capital city of Morocco and known for historic Islamic architecture, the Atlantic Ocean stretching out to infinity, and the smell of traditional Morocco.
• Chellah: A fortified medieval necropolis built on the ruins of a Roman town with peace-filled gardens and nests for snow-white storks.
• Kasbah Ouddaya: The Kasbah offers blue and white alleys and fantastic views of the Atlantic Ocean and the River Bouregreg.

(Free time in the old medina for visiting the souks and bazaars.)

The old medina has lively souks and is full of handicrafts, spices, leather items, and Moroccan stuff.

Optional-After that move to 'Cafe Maure' alongside the Bouregraver and hang out to have a tea with mint and certain Moroccan sweet treats like 'Kaab Ghazal' or 'Ghariba'

• Café Maure: a traditional Moroccan café, sells mint tea along with its stunning views of the river.
• Bouregrag River: is a scenic river that divides Rabat and Salé and is important for business, historically.

Free time later to stroll around the souks and bazaars in the old medina of Rabat. Then, continue to “Café Maure”, on the bank of Bouregrag River, to enjoy a Moroccan Tea time with mint tea alongside some Moroccan goodies like: “Kaab Ghazal” and “Ghariba”.

Our next stop will be fez, but let us stop along the way for guided visits to Volubilis and Meknes.

• Volubilis: is a UNESCO listed Roman archaeological site where a unique mix of Roman and Berber cultures can be seen.
• Meknes: is an imperial city developed by Sultan Moulay Ismail and frequently referred to as the “Versailles of Morocco” because of its opulence.

While being guided in the site, one learns to see the incredible blend of the Roman and Berber cultures in this UNESCO World Heritage of Volubilis. After this, we will then come down to another royal city called Meknes that grew during the reign of Moulay Ismail and is most aptly referred as the 'Versailles of Morocco.

Some of the attractions include the immense Bab el-Mansour gate and the lively Lahrij Square.

The grandest among them is the

• Bab El Mansour: which is decorated with magnificent zellige tile work.
• Lhri (El Hedim) Place: a bustling square for cafes, shopping, and street performers.

Day 2: Fez, an evening arrival On arrival in Fez, take a Fes walking tour to explore the historic streets, lively medinas, and its rich cultural heritage.

• Fez: One of the oldest medieval cities in the world known for its tangled medina and deep cultural and spiritual background.

The more you know: Kaab Ghazal means in Arabic the hoof of the dear, and along with Ghariba and Mint Tea are symbols of Moroccan hospitality.
Local experience: Café Maure overlooking “Abouregrag” River.

The guided city tour of Fez starts after breakfast as it was the kingdom's capital until 1912.ereg
Consequently, you will spend some days exploring Fez Medina, which is the UNESCO protected in the world's oldest university and went in the ninth century.

• Fez Medina: The ancient town, a maze-like and filled with artisans, an old market, one more time with the spice and the kneading of the leathers.

Major spots will be seen by you on the Fez tour with your guide, for instance, Bou-Inania Medersa, Medersa of Attarin, the Tanners, Ess-Seffarine Square, Moulay Driss Tomb, Nejjarine Square, cabinet makers’ souk, Hebrew district, Mellah.

• Bou-Inania Medersa: A 14th-century college to be known for its wood carving and marble work.
• Attarin Medersa: A lovely little Medersa decorated with the finest Moroccan zellige.
• Tanners’ Quarter: The tanneries are world-renowned for their water-filled dyeing pits used to craft leather.
• El-Seffarine Square: The copper makers along the lively "ringing copper" have illuminating stores along the square.
• Moulay Idriss Tomb: The traditional and spiritual foundation of love for Moulay Idriss in Fez, the former royal city of Morocco.

• El-Nejjarine Square: This is the square surrounded by the shops of woodwork and traditional craftsmanship.
• Cabinet Makers' Souq: This long, narrow street in a blaze of wondrous eye candy offers fine carved woodwork.
• Mellah: This charming Jewish enclave is splendid in its early Portuguese style architecture.

Also, you can take a Moroccan leap at a pottery workshop with a top-rank artisan.
This workshop dates back to the diary of Fez, in which blue pottery became the most important skill for preparation.

After lunch at your local special restaurant on halted legs, either proceed to the hotel or take an individual tour with your camera round the dining city.
Just a little more to be knowledgeable about: Every October, Fez celebrates one of the largest festivals globally, where lovers of the Sufi imagination come together and celebrate a cosmopolitan spirit, with performances from all over the world.

Local Experience: Pottery workshops

After breakfast, you will be picked up, and then travel to the imperial city of Marrakech.
Along the way, you will pass through small villages such as Imouzar and Ifrane. A bit later in the day, when you reach one of the morocco’s best known agricultural centers called Beni Melal. You will continue on your journey to Marrakech.
On arrival in Marrakech, you will be taken to check in at your hotel where you will be spending the night.

After your breakfast, our tour guide in Marrakech and driver guide will be waiting for you to start a guided city tour of the “Ochre City.”

Marrakech: A lively imperial city known for its vibrant souks, colorful streets, and rich history blending Berber, Arab, and French influences.
We will visit first in the morning the Majorelle Garden, named after the French painter Jacques Majorelle who dedicated great effort and passion to this art piece.

• Majorelle Garden: A serene garden oasis famous for its cobalt blue structures, exotic plants, and peaceful walking paths.

After Majorelle, continue to Menara, and though the name in Arabic translates to “lighthouse,” it is actually a pavilion with a basin and a garden of orchards and olive groves.

• Menara: A historic pavilion set in expansive olive groves, offering scenic views of the Atlas Mountains and a tranquil reflection pool.

Following through our visit to Koutoubia Mosque will be the crossing of an area known by the name of Mellah-the Jewish community.

• Koutoubia Mosque: Another significant attraction in the Jamaa El Fna, this mosque stands out with a magnifying minaret; visible from every corner of the city.

• Mellah: The "Royal" Jewish quarter; colorful markets and culture

A meal taken at a restaurant's and a horse-drawn Carriage/Koutchi back to the square will end a delightful day of sight-seeing.

• Jemaa El-Fnaa: The melting point of Marrakech, full of storytellers, musicians, and entertainment-you can head out to see by yourself why the Jemaa is alive!

The greater the knowledge you have of Marrakech, the better: it is a town of holiness; Moroccans refer to it as "land of the seven men," meaning the seven men were big scholars in Islam and Sufism loyal to knowledge and the worship of God

After having your breakfast, be picked up and journey to the imperial city of Marrakesh.

• Marrakesh: A lively and bustling city that is filled with ornate palaces, a huge market, and the famous Jemaa el Fna Square where people gather to tell stories and play music.

During the journey, you will pass some small villages such as Imouzar and Ifrane.

• Imouzar: A village set amid beautiful countryside in the High Atlas Mountains associated with traditional Berber culture.
• Ifrane: Often called "Little Switzerland" because of its alpine-style architecture, parks, and clean streets.

You will head a little further down the road to Beni Mellal, one of Morocco's most popular agricultural centers.

• Beni Mellal: A verdant city at the base of the Middle Atlas Mountains, among the olive groves and citrus orchards renowned for its agricultural produce.

Wake up and enjoy a lovely breakfast at your hotel before heading to Casablanca.
Once in Casablanca, you will be joined with your local guide for a visit to the Hassan II mosque, an Architectural master peace overlooking the Atlantic coast of Casablanca. Continue afterward for a tour of the city and its corniche, the Habous quarters, Royal Palace (exterior visit).

• Hassan II Mosque: It is one of the biggest mosques, clung on the Atlantic coastline, famous for the minaret and the intricate mosaics.
• Habous: A charming group of traditional Moroccan and French colonial architecture, a renowned place for its artisans and markets.
• Exterior of the Royal Palace: This stands as the official residence for the king of the Moroccan regions, it can be admired for the grand gates, the adorned walls and the grand surroundings.

Enjoy a free morning before heading to the airport of Casablanca for the flight to Cairo. Your tour manager will meet and assist you at Cairo International Airport and then he will escort you to the hotel by an air-conditioned coach. At hotel the tour manager will assist with a smooth check-in and review your holiday itinerary with you to establish and confirm pick up times for each tour.

After enjoying a delicious, wholesome breakfast at your hotel, your personal guide will take you to the Giza Plateau to start your journey by marveling at one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Great Pyramids of Giza.
Explore the iconic Sphinx and the Valley Temple, and continue with your Morocco and Egypt itinerary, uncovering the rich history and culture that await in the days ahead.

• Great Pyramids of Giza: The legendary tombs of Pharaohs Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, standing as timeless symbols of ancient Egyptian engineering.
• Sphinx: is the vast state of a lion with a Pharaoh's head that stands guard over the pyramids in the desert.

After your pyramid visit, you’ll go for lunch at an authentic Egyptian restaurant and then head over to the New Grand Egyptian Museum, also known as the Giza Museum, which is an archaeological museum in Giza, Egypt, about 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) from the Giza pyramid complex.

• Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM): A modern archaeological museum almost near the Giza Pyramids that accommodates in its modern and spacious area thousands of artifacts from ancient Egyptian civilization-indeed the complete treasures of Tutankhamun.

The GEM Complex is now open, welcoming visitors to experience the site and enjoy its offerings ahead of the official full scale launch.

Visits: Great Pyramids of Giza, Sphinx, Valley Temple, Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM)

Check out from hotel in the morning then transfer to Cairo Airport for a flight to Luxor where you will be met and assisted, then taken by an air-conditioned vehicle to board your Egypt Nile cruise to check in.
After lunch on board, enjoy a visit to the impressive Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple.

• Karnak Temple: A vast complex of temples, pylons, and obelisks, renowned for its Hypostyle Hall with towering columns and intricate carvings.

  Sail to Kom Ombo to see the unique Temple of Sobek, dedicated to Sobek the crocodile god and Horus the falcon-headed god. Have your lunch on board before continuing the sail to Aswan.
• Temple of Kom Ombo: A unique example of double temple with chamber symmetry that has halls for each of Sobek and Horus is found sitting near the River Nile. A unique thing about this temple here is its mummies-home to some crocodiles.

After breakfast on the Nile cruise, enjoy a day’s sightseeing in Aswan.
Start with the largest known ancient obelisk, located in the northern region of the stone quarries of ancient Egypt, the Unfinished Obelisk, then proceed to the beautiful Temple of Philae, which is devoted to the two goddesses Isis and Hathor.

• Unfinished obelisk: An enormous piece of granite still sitting in the ground untouched showing a unique way of carving into granite by the ancient Egyptians.
• Temple of Philae: An elegant island temple dedicated to Isis and Hathor, celebrating graceful development through the elegant columns and peace in the precincts while on the banks of the Nile.

After having your breakfast, you will leave your Nile cruise trip and shift to Aswan Airport for your flight back to Cairo, where you will be greeted and helped at the airport and then driven to your hotel.
