Breakfast, lunch & dinner
After going through breakfast, rather than disembarking from the Mövenpick Royal Lily Nile cruise and moving on to free time for the day, you'll explore Aswan at your own pace during your luxury Egypt cruise from Luxor to Aswan. Spending the time gazing at the lively Nubian markets or just relaxing and taking in the beauty of this city are two possible activities. Besides more than returning to Aswan, one should be marveled at by the huge statues of King Ramses II and be very elegant by the temple dedicated to Queen Nefertari. You will be left with life's memories as you spend the remainder of the day traveling to the Aswan airport or train station.
Breakfast only
The full length of the top deck, with loungers, shade and a pool for the hot stretch between Edfu and Kom Ombo.
Floor-to-ceiling glass on the upper deck — where most guests end up while the ship is sailing.
Full board: buffet breakfast and lunch, served dinner. Vegetarian, halal and gluten-free handled on request.
Egyptian and international drinks, fresh juices and shisha on the aft deck after dinner.
In all public areas. Usable rather than fast — the river is not the place for video calls.
A Nubian music night and a galabeya party across the sailing — join in or watch from the bar.
Free Wi-Fi in public areas — usable rather than fast. Cabins have European-style sockets; bring an adapter. The onboard boutique and bar accept cash (USD/EGP) and most cards.
A 25% deposit secures your cabin. Free cancellation up to 30 days before embarkation; within 30 days the deposit is forfeited. The balance is due on board or before sailing.
Both visit the same temples — the choice is really about the extra night. The 4-night Luxor→Aswan sailing gives a fuller, more relaxed programme; the 3-night Aswan→Luxor is quicker and lighter on the budget.
A canal lock the ship passes through on the Luxor–Esna stretch. It's one of the best hours of the whole cruise from the sun deck — worth timing your coffee around it.
Not in the cruise itself — it's usually added as an optional excursion from Aswan, by road or short flight, either before boarding or after disembarking.
Shore excursions are private with your own Egyptologist guide. The ship itself is a shared vessel — cabins, dining and the sun deck are shared with other guests.
October to April is the most comfortable for sightseeing. May to September is hotter, but the ship, pool and evening deck make it very manageable, and rates are lower.
