November has no single headline festival like Coptic Christmas or the Abu Simbel Sun Festival, but the atmosphere is quietly excellent — the pleasant autumn weather draws Egyptians out in the evenings, and Cairo's cultural season is in full swing, with the Cairo International Film Festival traditionally held in the city during the month (dates shift year to year, so check ahead).
